We’re on a mission to donate 1,000 copies of The Black Unicorn: A Daughter from Newark to 8th grade girls in Newark by Christmas Break 2025.

Because representation matters. At 13, Rashanna needed a book that sounded like her, reflected her city, and showed that her voice mattered. Now 18 and in college, she’s giving that gift to the next generation—so Newark’s young women can see themselves, their stories, and their futures differently.
